Honorable mention for the Bateson Prize

Morten Axel Pedersen, Associate Professor at The Department of Anthropology at the University of Copenhagen, has received honorable mention for the annual Gregory Bateson Book Prize by The Society for Cultural Anthropology for his book “Not Quite Shamans: Spirit Worlds and Political Lives in Northern Mongolia”, Cornell University Press, 2011. The Bateson Prize honors work that is theoretically rich and ethnographically grounded, as well as interdisciplinary, experimental and innovative.
