Citizen Driven Environmental Action

Contact person: Quentin Gausset

The project on “Citizen Driven Environmental Action" (CIDEA) aims at reducing CO2 emissions in Denmark at communal and household level, focusing mainly on transport and energy consumption.

By analysing the factors determining or constraining environmental behaviour and action and using information technology, it intends to provide Danish communes with tools that will allow them to better promote environmentally sound behaviour change and help them meet their CO2 reduction targets. The project is interdisciplinary and involves researchers from anthropology, political science, forest and landscape, computer science and DHI. It works in collaboration with 7 communes that run environmental pilot projects (Kolding, Skanderborg, Middelfart, Odense, Køge, Herning and Copenhagen).
