In my research, I investigate how people learn and decide which information they want to engage with. I am especially interested in curiosity, our drive to seek information without an obvious use for it. I use behavioural, eye-tracking and neuroimaging (EEG) methods to investigate how babies and adults seek information each in their own way - for example depending on their learning progress, executive functioning or valuation of information.
Since September 2022, I moved to Copenhagen to work on a three-year longitudinal project led by Katarina Begus to investigate this topic in 1- to 2-year-old infants.
