Disembodied conjugality
Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Book chapter › Research › peer-review
This chapter engages with Das' work on how to receive knowledge of the other. Das advances our understanding of this problem by proposing that the problem of knowledge has two sides - what is it to know but also how can one bear to be known, thus pairing the problem of knowing with that of confessing. The chapter asks what kinds of marriage and what forms of intimacy are possible in the event of Israel's detention of Palestinian men? What fills the void left by the detained husband's physical absence?.
