The demonstration ended with a request to participate in a common prayer at the square, but only a few hundred did so, nearly all men.\n These protests did not just address Jyllands-Posten or Denmark but also promoted the organizations themselves in the ongoing power struggle between nationalist and Islamic movements in Palestine.
