Documentary screening and Q & A: Embracing Water, Adriana Arce & Mattias Borg Rasmussen w/Huinganco Assembly
"Embracing Water” narrates the experiences of a group of neighbors concerned about the environment and, above all, about water. Water scarcity has become an undeniable reality in Argentina. In Huinganco, as in many other towns in Argentine Patagonia, neighbors have self-convened, looking for solutions to the entwinement of the
environmental and political crisis in a context where provincial extractive policies promote narratives of progress and promises of economic growth.
The documentary is an intimate portrait of the democratic experiments of a group of people seeking new ways of connecting to territory, water and community.
