I have joined the Department of Anthropology at the University of Copenhagen in March 2021. Prior to moving to Denmark, I have worked at Monash University, Australia (from 2015), at Goethe University Frankfurt (from 2008), and held various postdoctoral fellowships at the Asia Research Institute (National University of Singapore), the Royal Netherlands Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies (KITLV, Leiden) and the School of Culture, History and Language at the Australian National University. I obtained my PhD from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich in 2005 and did my habilitation at Goethe-University Frankfurt in 2014.
