I am a research assistant for the Origins of Descriptive Representation (ODER) research project, which is funded by the Carlsberg Foundation and led by Frederik Hjorth. Our project involves the use of machine learning techniques to digitize data on Danish elections at the candidate level, dating back to the establishment of the Danish constitution in 1849. Our primary focus is on exploring the reactions of voters and political parties in early Danish democracy to the initial representation of women and workers.
